Biology Plants of F. vesiculosus are dioecious.

This one disguises itself as floating algae.

The algae that grow produce oxygen, as I've mentioned, and they also produce biofuels and fertilizer and food and other bi algal products of interest.

So this is the infamous Caulerpa taxifolia, the so called killer algae.

So this, for example, is hydrogen generating algae.

So why would a single celled alga need to be able to produce light?

Maybe there is a little bit of oxygen from some algae on the beach not far from here.

Those that endosymbiosed a green alga include the euglenids and chlorarachniophytes ( chloroplasts).

So the column actually had another very nice feature, and that is the algae settle in the column, and this allowed us to accumulate the algal biomass in a context where we could easily harvest it.

There's a certain alga that swims in the wild, and it needs to navigate towards light in order to photosynthesize optimally.

So we would love to explore Europa, to go down through the ice, find out who is swimming around in the ocean, whether there are fish or seaweed or sea monsters whatever there may be that's exciting or cephalopods.
